NECHES & TRINITY VALLEYS GROUNDWATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD ON GMA-11 DESIRED FUTURE CONDITIONS
Groundwater Management Area 11 (GMA 11) has proposed the following desired future conditions (DFCs) for the relevant aquifers in the Neches & Trinity Valleys Groundwater Conservation District (NTVGCD) through 2080 expressed as average drawdown for the Carrizo Wilcox Aquifer: Anderson County, 180 feet; Cherokee County, 177 feet, and Henderson County, 155 feet. The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) designated GMA 11 to include: Neches & Trinity Valleys GCD, Panola County GCD, Pineywoods GCD, and Rusk County GCD. Information on the DFCs: www.ntvgcd.org
The NTVGCD is currently receiving public comments on the proposed DFCs under §36.108, Texas Water Code, until July 31, 2026. Written comments may be submitted to NTVGCD at PO Box 1387 or 501 Devereux, Ste 201, Jacksonville, TX 75766 or district@ntvgcd.org. The NTVGCD will hold a public hearing on the proposed DFCs on June 18, 2026, at the District office, located at 501 Devereux St., Ste 201, TX 75766.
