REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS
The City of Athens, Texas will accept sealed qualifications from Professional Engineering Firms to provide professional services for Athens Municipal Airport (F44) until 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 16, 2026 in the City's Finance Department at 508 E. Tyler St., Athens, TX 75751. Qualifications will be opened and the name of each submitting engineering firm will be read aloud in the Finance Department of Athens City Hall, 508 E. Tyler St., Athens, TX for qualified engineering firm(s) licensed in the State of Texas to perform Engineering Consultant Services for the City of Athens. This contract could include, but not be limited to, projects that are funded through the Texas Department of Transportation and/or the Federal Aviation Administration.
The Request for Qualifications (RFQ) document, including detailed requirements for each submitting firm will be available in the City's Finance Department, 508 W. Tyler St., Athens, TX 75751, and electronic copies of the RFQ may be obtained via the City of Athens' website:

COMMITMENT TO DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE
The City, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. §§ 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all respondents that it will affirmatively ensure that for any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit in response to this solicitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
The City reserves the right to negotiate with any and all individuals or firms that submit proposals, as per the Texas Professional Services Procurement Act and the Uniform Grant and Contract Management Standards. Section 3 Residents and Business Concerns, Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises and Women Business Enterprises are encouraged to submit proposals. The City of Athens reserves the rights to reject any and/or all submitted qualifications and to waive formalities.
